Our backgrounds are similar - we both live and breathe through our vineyards, cellars and the final products we get to open with friends and fellow wine enthusiasts. Anna‘s focus lies on all things still wines; Christina finds pleasure in the sparkles of wine. We planted some PIWI varieties and decided to see which new heights they‘ll take us to. 

 

Our vision? To go against conventions and pre-established ideas of grape varieties.

Our plan? to be creative and to show how much potential PIWI varieties have.

That‘s how PROJECT PIWI started. Each year the focus lies on one PIWI variety, which we‘ll showcase in both our passions - parts as a still wine and the other part sparkling.

My life principle: innovation is key! That’s why I decided to go all sparkly and dedicated my wine-making journey to the bubbly world.

 

Starting in 2014, I am producing the finest bubbles – some using the traditional method, some as Pet-Nats.

And since 2019 I am doing all of this in Langenlois, the heart of the Kamp valley.

…and that’s also where we met.

I was born and raised in Langenlois, grew up as the youngest daughter in a wine-making family.

 

Being the youngest can be fun, because we all know that we’re also taken care of a bit extra.

 

And that’s exactly why I am able to work full time in an event office, but at the same time I am always welcome at home to try out some fun stuff in the cellar.
